Usually I’d advise clients to focus on their one strongest niche skill or talent and only that. That said, after working in threat analysis for 25 years, and commercial photography for 20 years, I get to bend that guideline, as my work appeals to those who can perceive how each skill works as a force multiplier for the other.
Attention to detail, the vision to see novel solutions to capturing difficult results for clients on time and within budget, and with the skills to deliver results few professionals in the field can offer from experience gained over the 20+ years of commercial photography and image retouching for agencies. This is offered at sensible commercial rates.
Attention to detail, years of experience, steady hands and a deep understanding of safety requirements are all vital elements to creating high quality aviation photography. If it's to showcase your newest rescue helicopter in the fleet, or to give your aircraft for sale the strongest possible air to air photography hero shot before it appears in advertising, you can trust that the mission planning, safety, and highest possible imagery are assured. For close formation work, a formation rating flight instructor is available for bookings on the team. Never trust formation imagery to the cowboys.
Every firm needs corporate headshots, every political party needs them too, and it's important to update them regularly. Having photographed musicians, military veterans, olympians, artists, business leaders and Prime Ministers in all varied locations, professional and discrete service is assured.
Have a concept that requires artwork that's just not able to be achieved in camera? With image compositing skills honed in over 28 years of Photoshop work in media, choose us for the complex art so your projects aren't halted by in-house art teams missing this specialisation.
Static museums can struggle to create merchandise based on the exibits in house. If you want images of your in-situ exhibit lifted to display it in the original context, don't hesitate to book me. This image was created for the National Museum of the United States Air Force.
20+ years commercial photography experience in a broad international career
Superior editing skills. Advertising agencies book me when their art team need an imaging expert.
When your photographer is also a public safety officer with a degree in Counterterrorism & Intelligence, majoring in aviation management, you get professional safety and security as default.
Solid project management skills to ensure your needs to scoped, costed, and delivered on time and as promised.
If asked for how my clients would describe my work in this field, I’d quote a local council manager who’d given me feedback that their event never felt as secure as when they knew that my addition to the team meant that issues at that event were already prepared for, and that emergency response was instantly well managed.
“How is it you appear exactly where you’d most be needed at the perfect time, every time?”
I’m passionate about public safety, and the 25 years of risk analysis, security management, public safety management, and emergency response management experience sit well with my degree in Counterterrorism, Intelligence and Security, majoring in Aviation Management. Even if you’re not sure that your event requires government mandated risk management planning (chances are it does), reach out to find out.
“Prepare for the worst, hope for the best” – an emergency management mantra.

BTS captured by my partner a couple of weeks ago at Classic Flyers Aviation Museum at Tauranga Airport in New Zealand. We’d jumped at the invite to photograph there and will soon share some of that art. For now, a rare sighting of me. (shout out to Pete for the invite and to 36Sqn RAAF for the shirt)
Getting the call, “I need an expert stills shooter for aviation, I thought of you first”, is about my fav way to kick off any
Each year (with 2020 an exception due to COVID-19 lockdowns), the RAAF perform low level display flights along the Brisbane River as part of the Brisbane Festival’s Riverfire event. After one of my images was retweeted by an RAAF Wing Commander it was picked up for publication by The Warzone in the United States, then by Plane Talking Podcast in the UK. A selection of my captures follows, enjoy!
